Meyers Rd Fire in Sheridan: Propane Heater Exhaust Pipe Cited as Cause

(WNY News Now) Investigators have determined that a damaged propane heater exhaust pipe was the cause of a garage fire that occurred in the Town of Sheridan on December 2, 2024.

On Monday, December 2, 2024, at around 9:59 p.m., a garage fire was reported in the Town of Sheridan on Meyers Road. Mutual aid helped the Sheridan Fire Department put out the fire in a flash. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries during the incident.

Fire officials in Sheridan asked for an origin and cause investigation after the fire. The cause of the incident was identified by the investigation as a defective and neglected propane heater exhaust pipe. The surrounding structure was ignited by the overheated compromised pipe.
