Spotify Wrapped 2024 is here. Here’s what’s new.

Because it’s Spotify Wrappedseason, social media users may once more examine and discuss their listening preferences with their pals.

When the platform’s customized end-of-year user streaming data became live on Wednesday, social media users shared their top 2024 listens in droves.

Spotify introduced a tool this year called “music evolution” that lets users analyze how their tastes have changed over time. It will provide users with individualized, specialized music profiles to characterize their taste during certain stages, much like Spotify Sdaylist. Additionally, users may observe which musicians have the longest listening streaks.

A personal AI-generated podcast that provides consumers with summaries of their listening preferences was also introduced by Spotify. The podcast was produced using Google’s Notebook LM software, which gained popularity this year due to its capacity to turn user notes into summary podcasts with hosts that sound lifelike.

As is customary, Spotify also provided a list of the top-streamed authors, podcasts, and bands worldwide this year.

It should come as no surprise that Taylor Swift, who has had a successful couple of years with her Eras Tour and the publication of her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, took first place. According to Spotify, she received over 26.6 billion plays this year.

Bad Bunny came in at number three, while The Weeknd came in at number two.

Drake was the fourth most-streamed artist of the year, even after he recently accused Spotify and Universal Music Group of manipulating the streaming figures for Kendrick Lamar’s diss hit against him, Not Like Us. He was followed at number five by Billie Eilish.

In the meantime, Not Like Us was the second most streamed song in the United States this year, but it did not make the top worldwide songs list. On Wednesday morning, the song received over 928 million streams.

Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter was the most streamed music worldwide on Wednesday morning, with over 1.6 billion plays, according to Spotify.

In terms of podcasts, this past weekend with Theo Von, Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy, and The Joe Rogan Experience were in the top five worldwide. This year, the shows gained notoriety when Cooper hosted Vice President Kamala Harris and Reagan and Von each visited President-elect Donald Trump prior to the election.

After offering its Premium members 15 hours of free audiobook listening last year, Spotify also unveiled its first list of the best audiobooks in the world. Sarah J. Maas, a beloved author on BookTok, ranked first with her novel A Court of Thorns and Roses and third with its sequel, A Court of Mist and Fury.
