Unanswered Questions: Early Morning Fire Devastates Clymer Home

(WNY News Now) Fire investigators were unable to identify the origin of a predawn fire that severely destroyed a home in Clymer.

The Clymer Fire Department, assisted by multiple mutual aid units, responded to a structure fire at 7562 Nazareth Road in the Town of Clymer on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at around 5:18 a.m. When personnel arrived, they saw the house completely destroyed by fire, which prompted a massive firefight.

To investigate the cause and origin of the incident, the Chautauqua County incident Investigation Team was called in. Investigators found that the kitchen area on the first level was where the fire began. But the crew was unable to determine a clear cause because of the considerable damage to the house.

The Clymer Fire Department took one person who had minor injuries during the event to UPMC Hamot for treatment. There were no more injuries recorded.
