(WNY News Now) MAYVILLE, NY — After receiving reports of a low-flying aircraft in danger near Honeysette Road, emergency personnel began a thorough search Saturday morning. After searching the area with many fire departments and rescue teams, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was unable to locate any signs of a downed aircraft.
When a worried person reported the sighting at approximately 10:47 AM, the incident started. Responders used a variety of tools, such as drones from the Jamestown Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office and the North Lake Fire District’s all-terrain Argo vehicle. Despite a thorough search, no aircraft wreckage or crash site could be found.
Later, authorities verified that throughout the alleged period, low-flying aircraft had been operating in the region. Everyone was found not to be in distress after being accounted for.
