Drunk Driving Crash on W 3rd Street Leads to Aggravated DWI Charge

(WNY News Now) A 22-year-old male was arrested on aggravated DWI charges following a late-night collision in Jamestown, New York, on December 19, 2024, after police discovered that his blood alcohol content was more than double the legal limit.

When Jamestown Police Second Platoon officers noticed a legally parked car with serious rear driver’s side damage, they arrived at the intersection of West 3rd Street and Lakin Avenue at around 8:08 PM. A second car was found further west on 3rd Street, blocking traffic and stuck in the road with all of its airbags deployed, according to further inquiry.

The driver and only occupant of the second car, Alexander M. Larson, was determined to have been under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol percentage of more than.18%. Larson was arrested on several traffic infractions, aggravated driving while intoxicated (DWI), and DWI per se.

Thankfully, the collision did not result in any reported injuries. Larson was released on attendance tickets for Jamestown City Court after undergoing processing at the Jamestown City Jail.

The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
