(WNY News Now) A Cattaraugus woman who was wanted on an active bench warrant was arrested during a routine traffic stop in Salamanca.
New York’s SALAMANCA Crystal M. Lore, 31, of Cattaraugus, NY, was arrested during a traffic stop on Clinton Street in Salamanca early on Sunday, December 22, 2024. At around 1:43 a.m., Lore was stopped for violating the Vehicle and Traffic Law, and it was discovered that she had an active bench warrant from Salamanca City Court.
Lore was taken into prison without any problems, according to Sheriff Eric A. Butler, who announced the arrest. According to New York State Criminal Procedure Law 530.70-3, she was then turned over to the Salamanca City Police Department for arraignment on the warrant.
Salamanca City Court still has authority over the matter, and more actions are anticipated there. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
