Former President Bill Clinton released from hospital after being treated for the flu

According to his spokesperson on Tuesday, former President Bill Clinton was released from the hospital following his flu treatment.

“He and his family are deeply grateful for the exceptional care provided by the team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital,” said Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, Angel Ure, in a statement upon his arrival.

Ure stated at the time that Clinton, 78, had a fever and was taken to the hospital on Monday for observation and testing.

Clinton’s family “are touched by the kind messages and well wishes he received,” Ure a said Tuesday, referring to the 42nd president.

“He sends his warmest wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season to all.”

Since leaving office in 2001, Clinton has experienced several health scares.
