Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is latest pro athlete whose home was burglarized

Dallas The most recent professional athlete to have their home broken into is Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks.

The business manager for the star guard informed many media sites on Saturday that Doncic’s house had been broken into. Doncic reported the incident to the police, and according to Lara Beth Seager, no one was home when it happened on Friday night.

According to an internal police report that the Dallas Morning News obtained, jewelry worth approximately $30,000 was stolen.

Slovenian-born Doncic, 25, is the sixth known professional athlete in the United States to have had their home broken into since October. Among them are star NFL quarterbacks Joe Burrow of Cincinnati and Patrick Mahomes of Kansas City, as well as Mahomes’ tight end Travis Kelce.

The other two were Mike Conley Jr., a guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Bobby Portis, a forward for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Following the break-ins, some of which occurred while players were traveling with their teams for games, the NFL and NBA sent out security alerts to its players. According to the NFL’s advisory, organized and skilled organizations are increasingly targeting the residences of professional sportsmen in a variety of sports for burglaries.

Burrow complained that having to admit that he had been broken into had taken away his privacy.

Two days after the five-time All-NBA star strained his left calf in a Christmas Day loss to the Timberwolves, the incident at Doncic’s house occurred. Doncic is anticipated to miss roughly a month due to the injury.
