Jamestown Man Arrested on Criminal Obstruction of Breathing Charge After Domestic Dispute

(WNY News Now) Following an early-morning domestic altercation, a Jamestown man was arrested for criminal obstruction of breathing and was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Officers from the Third Platoon responded to a domestic altercation on Jamestown’s East Side on January 1, 2025, at around 12:14 AM. When police arrived, they discovered that Dominick Harrison, 24, had physically abused a woman by snatching her by the throat and preventing her from breathing. He was arrested on suspicion of criminal obstruction of breathing as a result.

Officers found both Harrison and the female victim had current warrants for Endangering the Welfare of a Child as the inquiry went on. The situation was made more difficult by the warrants, which had nothing to do with the current occurrence.

After being arrested, both people were transferred to the City Jail, where they are being detained until their arraignment in Jamestown City Court. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
