Inept arsonist set his pants on fire in Australia

The alleged arsonist’s clothing undoubtedly caught fire, even though they may be lying.

He tried to set fire to a fast-food restaurant early on Christmas morning in Melbourne, Australia, according to police, and they were destroyed.

According to a Victoria Police official who emailed NBC News on Friday, the incompetent pyromaniac and an accomplice had set fire to many shops in the city’s Doncaster East district.

The spokesperson claimed that after they had reached their ultimate objective, the criminals tried to set the shop on fire by pouring a container of flammable liquid over the front of it.

Regretfully, the accused offender set themself on fire as well.

Police published CCTV footage of the event, which shows one of the suspected arsonists approaching the business’s entrance and then jumping back a few seconds later with their pants on fire.

After that, they are shown fleeing with their accomplice before pausing to try to take off their flaming trousers. With the burning garment still snagged on one ankle, they go down the street.

According to the email, when their accomplice gathered the jerry can, the liquid caught fire and one of the criminals’ clothes caught fire as well. The offender then peeled off their burning apparel.

The spokesperson stated that they were driven away from the site by a vehicle that was thought to have been driven by a third offender.
