DUNKIRK, NY Dunkirk police responded to reports of a disruptive person at a business on the 200 block of Central Avenue at around 4:55 PM on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025. Officers arrived to find Jamestown resident Kenneth Mosley, 42, allegedly causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the property.
Mosley turned hostile as authorities tried to defuse the situation. After a short struggle, he was arrested and brought to the Dunkirk Police Headquarters to be processed.
Mosley became more aggressive while in the guarded detention facility, spitting a mixture of saliva and blood into an officer’s eye. After receiving care at a nearby hospital, the wounded officer was allowed to go.
Mosley is currently facing several charges, such as:
- Aggravated Harassment of an Employee by an Inmate (Class E Felony)
- Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree (Class A Misdemeanor)
- Disorderly Conduct (Violation)
Mosley is presently on supervised probation, according to the authorities. After being charged, he was placed under $20,000 bond and sent to Chautauqua County Jail.
The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
