(WNY News Now) In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) will close its offices on Monday, January 20. However, necessary services will continue as usual.
On Monday, January 20, the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) will observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by closing its offices. On Tuesday, January 21, the Customer Service Office will return for business at 9 a.m.
There will be no modifications to the weekly collection schedule for garbage and recyclables.
Consumers who have bills to pay on the holiday can do it online by visiting www.jamestownbpu.com and selecting My Account from the main page. Additionally, payments can be made at 661-1660, extension 3.
After hours, customers can deposit checks or money orders (no cash) in drop-off boxes outside City Hall on Tracy Plaza, inside the vestibule of the Jamestown Police Department entrance on Second Street, and in the BPU Customer Service Office parking lot down the D road, 92 Steele Street.
Customers can phone 661-1640 to report issues in any of the BPU Divisions after business hours.
Utility issues can be reported at 661-1660 during business hours.
