(WNY News Now) After a domestic altercation late Sunday evening, a Jamestown resident was arrested and charged with assault and harassment.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a west-side business on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at around 10:38 PM in reference to a domestic incident that had apparently taken place nearby.
Authorities found that the victim had been physically abused by James E. Turner 2nd, 42, of Jamestown, during their investigation. Before leaving the scene, Turner allegedly injured the victim’s hand, pulled out their hair, and hit them in the face, according to the police.
Officers found Turner at a south-side house shortly after that. Turner allegedly resisted arrest by trying to pull away from officers and disobeying police commands when they were trying to take him into custody.
After being taken to Jamestown City Jail, Turner was accused with resisting arrest, second-degree harassment, and third-degree assault. He is being detained until Jamestown City Court arraigns him.
