Indian Land, a district opponent, lost to the 16-2 Fort Mill Yellow Jackets boys basketball team by a slim margin on Friday night. Wallace Campbell’s free throw in the closing seconds gave the varisty boys a 53-52 victory. The Warriors missed a last-ditch attempt at the buzzer with a second left. The Yellow Jackets are 5-0 in Region 3-5A and 16-2 overall. On Wednesday, they depart for Nation Ford at 7:30 p.m. The Falcons are 1-4 in the area and 9-9 overall.
On Friday night, the Lady Jackets also triumphed over Indian Land, 48–31. The club is 4-1 in Region 3-5A play and 10-7 overall. Their matchup at Nation Ford is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
