(WNY News Now) Two people were arrested on several crimes after a loaded pistol was found during a routine traffic stop in Jamestown.
New York’s Jamestown At around 12:33 p.m. on January 24, 2025, Jamestown Police Department officers pulled over a vehicle at the junction of Lakeview Avenue and East 8th Street. Dustin Newbree, age 33, was found to be the driver of the car, and Monica Pacheco, age 40, was found in the front passenger seat.
It was discovered that Newbree was driving the car with a revoked license during the stop. After more research, it was discovered that Pacheco and Newbree were both illegally in possession of a loaded firearm inside the car.
Consequently, both people were arrested and charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Second Degree is another charge against Newbree.
After being taken to the City Jail, the suspects are being detained until they are arraigned in Jamestown City Court. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
