Commercial Structure Fire at Wilson Lakeside Market Under Investigation

(WNY News Now) Wilson, NY On Tuesday night, firefighters were called to the Wilson Lakeside Market in response to a commercial structure fire. A multi-agency response was triggered when the fire was reported at 6:56 p.m. at 337 Lake Street in the Village of Wilson.

When they arrived, Niagara County Sheriff’s Deputies verified that the building’s western end was on fire. Before several fire departments attempted to contain and put out the fire, deputies made sure no one was inside.

The response was aided by firefighters from the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station Fire Department, Wilson Volunteer Fire Company, South Wilson Volunteer Fire Company, and Olcott Volunteer Fire Company. The Niagara County Fire Coordinator’s Office, together with the Ransomville and Cambria Volunteer Fire Companies, provided additional assistance.

With help from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, the Niagara County incident Investigation Unit is still looking into what caused the incident. There are currently no estimates available for property damage.
