The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services Announces New Website

The updated South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services (SCDPPPS) website, hosted by SC.gov, was launched today at https://ppp.sc.gov/. Courts, victims, offenders, and other members of the public serviced by SCDPPPS will find detailed information much easier to access thanks to our updated, user-friendly website.

The redesigned website will primarily showcase available positions and the many career pathways offered by SCDPPPS (https://ppp.sc.gov/careers). Like its predecessor, the new website offers a handy link that enables people under SCDPPPS supervision to make online payments for their restitution and supervision costs (https://ppp.sc.gov/supervision-rehabilitation/offender-search).

Acting Director Chad Gambrell stated, “We are still dedicated to holding criminals responsible for paying reparations to victims of crime, and the online payment feature expands the variety of ways they can do so.” Additionally, by informing the public about SCDPPPS’s sentencing reform implementation and our dedication to offender rehabilitation, this improved website will further promote agency transparency.

Interactive features like an Offender Search, Parole and Pardon Hearing Searches (https://ppp.sc.gov/parole-pardon-release-services), and thorough county-level information about the people under the Department’s supervision are all part of the creative web design.

Over 23,400 offenders who live in the community and have been placed on probation by the court, paroled by the South Carolina Board of Paroles and Pardons, and enrolled in mandatory release programs are under the supervision of SCDPPPS, the state’s third largest law enforcement agency. A variety of evidence-based, rehabilitative techniques are used to oversee offenders in order to promote successful reentry and maintain public safety.
