Sherman, New York (WNY News Now).After a car accident in the Town of Sherman on Sunday night, a guy from Georgia was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports that on February 2, 2025, at around 9:48 p.m., deputies arrived at the scene of a collision. It was discovered that the driver, Garrett M. Swan, 21, of Trenton, Georgia, was operating the vehicle while inebriated.
Swan was charged with DWI, DWI Per Se, unsafe lane changes, and driving a car with an unsafe tire after an investigation. After being arrested, he was later given appearance tickets for the Town of Sherman Court and released. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
