CHARLOTTE, NC: Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) will soon offer a new nonstop flight option for tourists seeking an inexpensive means of getting to Florida’s Gulf Coast. Beginning on May 2, 2025, Frontier Airlines will provide direct flights between Charlotte and Tampa International Airport (TPA).
Flights will initially run twice a week, but starting on May 22, 2025, service will increase to four times a week. The low-cost airline wants to give passengers in North Carolina more affordable options for their 2025 travel plans.
According to Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design at Frontier Airlines, this new route will give North Carolina customers additional affordable and easy travel options when they plan their trips in 2025. We are starting the second phase of The New Frontier as the year comes to a close, giving customers even more options to take advantage of the greatest deals on air travel and have a smoother, more enjoyable trip.
Frontier will now operate to 14 destinations from CLT as a result of this expansion. Special one-way flights as low as $29 are being offered by the airline to commemorate the debut.
Temporary Fare Promotion
In order to benefit from the $29 initial fare, travelers must purchase their tickets by February 6, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. EST. With a few blackout dates, the reduced rates are available for nonstop travel on a few days through August 18, 2025:
- May 22-23, 26, 2025
- June 28-29, 2025
- July 3, 5-6, 2025
To receive the discounted cost, there is no need to make a round-trip purchase.
Expanding Choices for Visitors to Charlotte
Frontier’s presence at CLT is further strengthened by the arrival of the Charlotte-to-Tampa route, which gives customers on a tight budget additional options. The new route appeals to both business and leisure tourists because Tampa is a well-liked destination with beaches, theme parks, and a bustling nightlife.
