In a significant blow to narcotics trafficking in the region, law enforcement agencies in Anderson County have successfully executed several major drug busts in recent months. These coordinated efforts have led to the seizure of over 60 pounds of various illegal drugs and more than $200,000 in cash, while several individuals face serious charges.
Major Seizure at Williamston Residence
On May 20, 2025, deputies from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office carried out a search warrant at a residence located on Branchview Drive in Williamston. The operation resulted in the confiscation of over 37 pounds of marijuana, along with smaller quantities of ecstasy and methamphetamine.
Alongside the drugs, authorities discovered a firearm and a substantial amount of cash—nearly $54,500 in physical currency and an additional $14,700 found in a linked bank account believed to be tied to drug activities.
Two suspects, Malik Bennett, 35, and Brittany Williams, 32, were arrested at the scene. They now face multiple charges including trafficking marijuana, distribution of methamphetamine, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. The case remains under investigation, with officials working to determine if further arrests will be made.
High-Stakes Traffic Stop Uncovers Extensive Narcotics Operation
Earlier this year in January, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Anthony Tyrone McIntosh II. Instead of complying, McIntosh fled on foot but was apprehended after a brief chase.
Following the arrest, authorities conducted further investigation which led to the discovery of a large cache of narcotics. The haul included over 14 pounds of methamphetamine, 4 pounds of fentanyl, 3 pounds of cocaine, and 14 grams of crack cocaine.
In addition to the drugs, deputies seized over $161,000 in cash believed to be proceeds from illegal sales. McIntosh now faces multiple federal charges including trafficking several controlled substances and failure to stop for law enforcement.
Welfare Check Leads to Drug and Weapon Seizure
On May 6, 2025, deputies responded to a welfare check at a storage facility on Pearman Dairy Road. They found a man, later identified as Trenton Dove, unresponsive inside a vehicle.
Upon investigation, deputies found several illegal substances including methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other pills inside the vehicle. They also discovered a handgun in Dove’s possession.
Dove was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Local Law Enforcement’s Commitment to Combating Drug Crime
These recent busts underscore the continued commitment of Anderson County law enforcement to fight narcotics trafficking and drug-related violence in the region. Officials have stressed that the seizures are part of ongoing efforts to address the opioid crisis and reduce the availability of dangerous drugs in the Upstate area of South Carolina.
Sheriff’s office representatives have thanked the community for their cooperation and encouraged residents to report suspicious activities to help maintain public safety.
