(WNY News Now) – A man’s attempt to diffuse a fight at a Syracuse mall turned violent, leaving him with stab wounds and police seeking answers.
SYRACUSE, NY – Early Saturday morning, November 16, 2024, Syracuse Police responded to a reported stabbing near the “Gold Lot” entrance at Destiny USA Mall. Officers arrived on the scene around 12:38 a.m. to find a 42-year-old male suffering from lacerations to his back.
The victim, who was trying to break up a fight, told officers he suddenly felt pain and realized he had been cut by an unknown object. He was transported to Upstate Hospital by AMR Ambulance and is now in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
