UAE announces arrests of three people linked to rabbi killed in ‘antisemitic terrorist’ murder

Three people have been taken into custody by UAE authorities in relation to the death of an Israeli-Moldovan rabbi who was discovered dead there.

According to Zvi Kogan’s identification documents at the time of his admission into the United Arab Emirates, where he lived as a resident, the three culprits engaged in his murder have been apprehended in record time, the UAE’s Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday.

According to the ministry’s X statement, all incident facts will be made public after the investigations are complete.

Kogan had been missing in the Gulf state since Thursday; the Israeli authorities described his death as a “criminal antisemitic terrorist event.”

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, declared early Sunday that his nation “will deal with the criminals responsible for his death to the fullest extent of the law.”

Suspicions that Kogan had been abducted were immediately raised by his disappearance. He represented Chabad Lubavitch, a prominent New York-based Orthodox Jewish Hasidic organization, in Abu Dhabi.
