Today, Karol G is a Bratz doll.
The Colombian singer is the first performer to work with the toy company to design a Bratz doll that resembles her.
The artist’s rose gold dress from last year’s 24th annual Latin Grammy Awards, where she won the coveted album of the year award and best urban music album for “Ma ana Ser Bonito” as well as best urban fusion/performance for her duet with Shakira “TQG,” served as the inspiration for the new Karol G collector doll’s appearance.
In a statement, Karol G stated, “I now get to share a doll inspired by that very moment in my career.” It’s unbelievable.
Other clothes from Karol G’s spinoff album Ma ana Ser Bonito (Bichota Season), which also took home the best urban music album award at this month’s Latin Grammys, are included with the doll.
According to Karol G, this partnership is a celebration for fans throughout Latin America and beyond and a true labor of love.
According to Bratz creative director Jasmin Larian-Hekmat, the new partnership is an attempt to pay tribute to the devoted fan base of Bratz dolls in Latin America and Spain who have been with the brand since its inception.
The 33-year-old singer, whose real name is Carolina Giraldo Navarro, became well-known in 2017 after her breakout single with Bad Bunny.According to Billboard, Ahora Me Llama is the sixth single from her first studio album, Unstoppable.
In the best new artist category, that album awarded Karol G her first Latin Grammy, establishing her as one of the top female Latin urban musicians changing the traditionally male-dominated genres of reggaeton and Latin trap.
Karol G’s history of firsts
Making history is nothing new to Karol G. She became the first female Grammy winner for best music in an urban setting in February. The first Spanish-language album by a female performer to reach the top of the Billboard 200 was Ma ana Ser Bonito. Karol G became the first Latina to play as the headlining act at many of the stadiums she appeared at during her stadium tour in support of the album’s release.
She was the first Latina to win the Billboard Women in Music awards’ Woman of the Year title in March.
We are thrilled to honor a female pop singer that has broken down barriers in fashion, music, and culture. In astatement, Larian-Hekmat mentioned Karol G.
