Arrest Warrant Executed Following Traffic Stop in Randolph

(WNY News Now) Randolph, NY A 24-year-old male wanted on an active warrant was arrested during a routine traffic stop on I-86 East in Randolph.

Austin J. Harkins was arrested by New York State Park Police on the morning of January 6, 2025, while conducting a traffic stop. Harkins was apprehended without incident after being wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

Harkins was taken to deputies from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office after being apprehended. After that, he was taken to the Town of Persia Court to be arraigned. Harkins was freed on his own recognizance by the court during the hearings.

In order to answer to the charges related to the warrant, Harkins must subsequently appear in Perrysburg Town Court.

The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
