New York's EllicotTVille (WNY News Now).The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office reports that after a traffic check early Saturday morning, a Machias man was taken into custody for driving under the influence. On February 1, 2025, at around 2:58 a.m., authorities say that 23-year-old Davaughan W. Wells was pulled over on Route 242 in the Town of Ellicottville. Deputies concluded Wells was operating a vehicle while intoxicated after conducting an investigation. He gave a chemical test sample, registering a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.13% on the Datamaster, after being arrested and escorted to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office. Kiernan was taken into custody on February 1, 2025, at around 6:00 p.m., in relation to an event that happened on January 31, 2025, at an Allegany address on Route 417.Kiernan was accused by deputies of two charges of harming a child's welfare. Kiernan was given a ticket for an appearance and is expected to show up in Town of Allegany Court later.
