(WNY News Now) For Thanksgiving, the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) has made adjustments to its service and operation schedules. It is recommended that customers prepare ahead of time for office closures and service delays.In honor of Thanksgiving, Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29. On Monday, December 2, the Customer Service Office will reopen for business at 9 a.m.The pickup of garbage and recycling will take place on Friday, November 29, rather than Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. On Saturday, November 30, there will be the usual Friday collection.
