According to a National Head Start Association survey, dozens of Head Start programs—which offer low-income children childcare and preschool education—have been unable to obtain previously authorized federal funding, putting some programs in danger of closing their doors in the near future. The programs claim that since a federal funding freeze was declared in the second week of the Trump administration, they have not been able to access the money to cover costs such as payroll and electricity. According to authorities, a guy was taken into custody Wednesday morning after allegedly shooting one person dead and five others wounded at a warehouse in Ohio. Bruce Reginald Foster III, the suspected gunman, was found at a Columbus residence after authorities searched for him. The shooting occurred on Tuesday at approximately 10:30 p.m. About 150 people had to be evacuated to a nearby building since overnight personnel were at the warehouse, according to Greg Jones, the chief of the New Albany Police Department. Jones stated that the shooting seemed to be a targeted strike, but he would not say if the suspect was a current or previous worker at the establishment. Ellen Greenberg, a Philadelphia school teacher who was viciously stabbed in 2011, will have her cause of death reexamined after a pathologist who earlier declared her death to be a suicide changed his mind last week. On January 26, 2011, Greenberg, then 27 years old, was discovered dead with a kitchen knife stuck in her chest. She was found in the apartment she lived with her fiancé, Samuel Goldberg, in Philadelphia.
