Police confirmed that they responded to a call involving white nationalist Nick Fuentes and a woman who appeared to show up at his Illinois home Sunday unannounced after he was doxxed online. Marla Rose, 57, said in a now-deleted Facebook post that she was about to ring Fuentes’ doorbell when he opened the door, sprayed her with a liquid, took her phone, pushed her down the steps and went back inside. Now, the largest coral ever recorded has been discovered, scientists said Thursday, and it’s so big it can be seen from space. It was found by a National Geographic team conducting an expedition in the Solomon Islands in October to study ocean health. TOKYO — An American tourist has been arrested in Japan for allegedly carving letters into a pillar of a gate to a shrine in Tokyo. Steve Lee Hayes, 65, was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of property damage, a spokesman from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to NBC News. Hayes, a U.S. citizen, had “carved alphabet letters onto a pillar of a gate of a shrine” in the Shibuya ward of Tokyo on Tuesday, police said. It's not clear what state Hayes is from. The Japan Times reported that the letters were carved into a wooden pillar of a traditional entrance, known as a torii gate, at the Meiji Shrine.
