(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop in Jamestown led to the arrest of two individuals found in possession of cocaine.Jamestown, N.Y. – On October 23, 2024, at approximately 6:56 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of West 6th Street and Jefferson Street. During the investigation, officers discovered that John T. Peterson, a 40-year-old resident of Randolph, and Jamica L. Maisonet, a 29-year-old resident of Jamestown, were in possession of cocaine.Both Peterson and Maisonet were taken into custody without resistance and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. (WNY News Now) – A 19-year-old Dunkirk man faces multiple charges after a violent domestic incident led to his arrest following a dramatic attempt to flee police.Dunkirk, N.Y. – On Thursday, October 3, 2024, Dunkirk Police responded to a domestic dispute on the 700 block of Main Street at approximately 9:12 PM. Officers were dispatched after reports of a fight and arrived to the sound of a woman crying for help from an upstairs apartment.As officers approached the apartment, they were forced to break down the door to gain entry. Inside, they discovered a chaotic scene, with the suspect, 19-year-old Sage M. Bistrisky, leaping out of a second-story window in an attempt to evade arrest.
