Officers pulled over a car on East 5th Street and Washington Avenue at 4:11 PM for suspected traffic infractions. It was discovered that the driver, Lazaro H. Harkins was arrested by New York State Park Police on the morning of January 6, 2025, while conducting a traffic stop. Harkins was apprehended without incident after being wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office. Harkins was taken to deputies from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office after being apprehended. After that, he was taken to the Town of Persia Court to be arraigned.
