The inaugural community information gathering introducing the Jamestown Community Microgrid Project is open to the public. The meeting is scheduled to take place between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, in the Police Training Room, located at 200 East Third Street, Jamestown City Hall, fourth floor. However, necessary services will continue as usual. On Monday, January 20, the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) will observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by closing its offices. On Tuesday, January 21, the Customer Service Office will return for business at 9 a.m. There will be no modifications to the weekly collection schedule for garbage and recyclables. It is recommended that customers prepare ahead of time for office closures and service delays.In honor of Thanksgiving, Jamestown Board of Public Utilities (BPU) offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29. On Monday, December 2, the Customer Service Office will reopen for business at 9 a.m.The pickup of garbage and recycling will take place on Friday, November 29, rather than Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. On Saturday, November 30, there will be the usual Friday collection.
