Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Western New York Counties
(WNY News Now) From 6 PM on January 28 to 6 PM on January 29, Buffalo's National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, alerting people to the possibility of heavy snowfall and strong winds.
Four to eight inches of snow are predicted to accumulate over the course of a 24-hour period in Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie counties, according to a Winter Weather Advisory. Potentially dangerous travel conditions might result from winds that gust up to 40 mph.
The alert will be in force until 6 PM on Wednesday, January 29. It starts this evening at 6 PM. Residents are advised to expect difficult weather, especially on Wednesday morning and evening journeys.
