Snowmobile Accident in Stockton Leaves One Injured

(WNY News Now)STOCKTON TOWN, January 9, 2025One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a late-night snowmobile collision in the Town of Stockton. Around 11:48 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at the scene of the incident close to Munger Road. The operator, a 38-year-old man from Dunkirk, New York, was heading north through a wooded area when he lost control of his snowmobile, causing the incident, according to preliminary investigations. To help, emergency personnel from the Stockton Fire Department, North Lake Fire Department, and Chautauqua County EMS arrived on the scene. The Silver Creek Fire Department, assisted by mutual aid, responded to a fire at the Save A Lot shop on Route 20 in the Town of Hanover early on January 10, 2025. The incident happened around 5:55 a.m. Firefighters arrived and quickly put out the fire, which was limited to the ceiling area close to the store's entrance.
