Missing Australian hiker found after surviving two weeks on muesli bars and berries
After surviving for nearly two weeks on berries and two muesli bars he discovered, an Australian student who vanished while trekking last month has been located alive.
In the bushlands of Kosciuszko National Park in the southern Australian state of New South Wales, 23-year-old Hadi Nazari vanished on December 26 after splitting from his two companions.
About six miles from a command post that had been established as part of a massive search operation that involved hundreds of people, he was discovered on Wednesday by a group of hikers.
Inspector Josh Broadfoot of the New South Wales Police stated in a statement, "This is an amazing outcome, after 13 long days he has been located."
