Photos: Flames engulf Southern California as crews battle to control deadly fires
Fast-moving wildfires flared in the Los Angeles area Tuesday, leaving tens of thousands of Southern Californians under evacuation orders, hundreds of buildings burnt, and at least two people dead.
By Wednesday, two of the most severe fires, the Eaton Fire and the Palisades Fire, had raged across more than 7,000 acres in and around Pasadena and the Pacific Palisades district of Los Angeles, according to fire officials. These fires were fueled by strong Santa Ana winds and dry weather.
Homes were completely destroyed by the fire and left to rubble in horrifying photos. People were seen running on foot in other photos.
