Lara Trump says she’s stepping down as Republican National Committee co-chair
In the midst of growing rumors that she might be chosen to fill a vacancy in the Senate, Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of President-elect Donald Trump, said on Sunday night that she will resign from her position as co-chair of the Republican National Committee.
Trump, who with her father-in-law's support became co-chair of the RNC in March, stated on X on Sunday that she plans to resign at the next meeting of the RNC once she has accomplished her three objectives for the group.
"We had three main objectives at the RNC: 1) break all financial records; 2) assemble the most lawyers and poll watchers to guarantee the integrity of the election; and 3) mobilize millions of Americans and voters with low levels of preparation for early voting. "All three were completed," she stated in the post.
