Motivated by their group reading of Catherine Ryan Hyde's Pay It Forward at the beginning of the school year, the 711 students will collaborate with 29 neighborhood organizations to provide more than 2,800 hours of community work in a single day. This campaign has been motivated by the novel's message that a simple act of kindness can have a big impact when it spreads. During their service, students will hand out Pay It Forward cards to inspire others to carry out their own little deeds of kindness.
