Gay couples rush to marry and have children before Trump inauguration
In addition to being motivated by love, Ben Nelson and Adam Weinberger made the rash decision to elope next month. They were already planning to get married in October of next year, having been together for over three years. However, they claimed that after Donald Trump was re-elected, everything changed.
Weinberger, 31, a veterinarian, stated, "We kind of decided that we would take a step back and do what we think is necessary for our lives, not necessarily what our first choice was."
They are among the several gay couples who have been hurrying to tie the knot, begin reproductive treatments, and take other actions in recent weeks because they are afraid that some of their rights may be taken away during a second Trump term.
