In an announcement on social media and on its website, the music publication said it made the decision after assessing the rapidly evolving "music festival landscape." It did not elaborate further. "This decision was not made lightly," Pitchfork wrote. “For 19 years, Pitchfork Music Festival has been a celebration of music, art, and community—a space where memories were made, voices were amplified, and the shared love of music brought us all together." Five people are dead after multiple shootings that took place in three different homes in Wichita, Kansas. Just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, a 911 call reported a shooting on the 1700 block of Santa Fe, according to NBC affiliate in Wichita KSN . Officers responding to the residence found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound, the Wichita Police Department said in a statement. Shortly after, officers conducted a follow-up at another home just over half a mile away from the initial shooting scene. There, officers said they discovered three additional victims with apparent gunshot wounds, the statement said. Police then canvassed the neighborhood. New York City Mayor Eric Adams asked a judge on Monday to set an earlier trial date in his federal corruption case next year, arguing the current date would impede Adams’ participation in his mayoral reelection campaign, according to court documents. In a letter to the court, Adams’ lawyer, Alex Spiro, requested the trial to begin weeks earlier on April 1, rather than later that month.
