Waltz is a Green Beret veteran who served in Afghanistan, the Middle East and Africa. Since 2019, he has represented a congressional district in the House, where he's a member of the Armed Services, Foreign Affairs and Intelligence committees. Wallace, 77, told The Daily Beast on Monday that he would pursue an independent platform like streaming or podcasting, as that's "where the action seems to be.” Wallace hosted the Sunday political show "Fox News Sunday" on Fox News for 18 years, before announcing in late 2021 that he was leaving for CNN to host a CNN+ program . Thirteen research monkeys were on the loose Monday after an additional five of the 43 primates that escaped from a research lab in South Carolina last week were captured unharmed, authorities said. The discoveries on Monday — first there were three, then two more — mean 13 of the Rhesus macaques remain outside the Alpha Genesis Primate Research Center in the town of Yemassee, South Carolina. In a statement, the Yemassee Police Department cited Alpha Genesis CEO Greg Westergaard for news of the day's discoveries. "Additional primates have been successfully recovered today, all appearing to be in good health," the department said. A man accused of murder after a 911 call about a fake bear attack in the mountains of Tennessee led authorities to a dead man in October has been found and arrested, police said Sunday. The arrest of Nicholas Wayne Hamlett, 45, in Columbia, South Carolina, ends a manhunt that was launched after the call late Oct. 18 to 911 dispatchers in Monroe County.
