All of the Fort Mill School District's schools and facilities were closed as of today. All athletic events have been canceled for the day as a result. The basketball and wrestling games between Nation Ford and Fort Mill have been rescheduled for Thursday at their regular times. Basketball games will continue to be held at Nation Ford, but wrestling will go to Fort Mill High School.

Indian Land, a district opponent, lost to the 16-2 Fort Mill Yellow Jackets boys basketball team by a slim margin on Friday night. Wallace Campbell's free throw in the closing seconds gave the varisty boys a 53-52 victory. The Warriors missed a last-ditch attempt at the buzzer with a second left. The Yellow Jackets are 5-0 in Region 3-5A and 16-2 overall. On Wednesday, they depart for Nation Ford at 7:30 p.m. The Falcons are 1-4 in the area and 9-9 overall. On Friday night, the Lady Jackets also triumphed over Indian Land, 48–31. The club is 4-1 in Region 3-5A play and 10-7 overall. Athletic events scheduled for Tuesday, January 21 have been postponed by the Fort Mill School District due to the impending bad weather. The majority of the events have been moved to tomorrow at the same hours.

Marvin Ridge's energetic offense and solid full court defense caused Fort Mill to lose the lead early in the third period after maintaining the lead through the first half.
