Celebrate Small Business Saturday at Audubon: Free Admission, Hot Cocoa, and Holiday Discounts

(WNY News Now) On Small Business Saturday, the Audubon Community natural Center encourages you to support small businesses by shopping locally, exploring its natural preserve, and enjoying complimentary hot cocoa and cookies.

On November 30, the Audubon Community Nature Center in Jamestown, New York, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop will be celebrating Small Business Saturday by offering free entrance, complimentary hot cocoa and cookies, and discounts on new Nature Center memberships and gift shop purchases.

Audubon is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday after Thanksgiving, which is Small Business Saturday, a day devoted to assisting small businesses and communities nationwide.

For the holidays, the Blue Heron Gift Shop is filled with presents, many of which are genuinely exclusive to Audubon. Among the products are Audubon’s own Nature Discovery Kits, new plush animals and puppets, a large selection of children’s books, nature and guidebooks, soaps, beeswax candles, and honey produced locally. Everyone will receive 10% off almost everything in the gift shop, and current Nature Center members will receive 20% off.

You can enjoy a nature break by exploring the outdoor nature play area, wandering the trails, or seeing the live animals before or after your shopping stop.

The Audubon Community Nature Center is situated between Jamestown, New York, and Warren, Pennsylvania, at 1600 Riverside Road, a quarter mile east of Route 62. Visit the roughly 600-acre nature preserve, observe the live raptors, take in the natural play area, and stroll more than five miles of trails every day from sunrise to sunset for free.

The three-story Nature Center building has a collection of live creatures, including the Hellbender exhibit, and interactive displays in addition to the Blue Heron Gift Shop. Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sundays from 14:30 p.m. are open to visitors. Every day, SNAP/EBT cardholders and Nature Center members can enter the building for free. Every Sunday, non-members of the Nature Center can access the building for free.
