(WNY News Now) During a late-night investigation, Jamestown police found firearms and charges of domestic abuse after apprehending a two-time convicted felon on the west side of the city.
Jamestown, New York. Officers from the Jamestown Police Department found Johnny P. Wynn Sr., 51, of Jamestown, after responding to a residence on the city’s west side at around 11:05 p.m. on December 2, 2024. Wynn was wanted in relation to allegations of domestic violence resulting from a previous incident.
Officers arrived and captured Wynn without any problems. A rifle and a handgun were found at the location during a follow-up inquiry. Wynn, a two-time convicted felon, is legally forbidden from owning firearms, according to authorities.
Wynn is currently facing several accusations, including second-degree strangulation and criminal possession of a weapon in the second, third, and fourth degrees. He was arrested and is being detained until he is arraigned in Jamestown City Court. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
