A Dallas lady claims her mother died in a horrifying manner, and she wants answers.
Days after her disappearance, Teresa Gonzales, 66, was found at a Dallas sewage treatment plant. She fell through a hole in a street in northwest Dallas, according to her family.
I couldn’t figure out why that occurred. I was unable to comprehend it. Cynthia Gonzales, the daughter, stated, “I still can’t.”
According to Cynthia Gonzales and her lawyer Ramez Shamieh, it took place on October 22 between 7 and 9 a.m. on the 1600 block of Record Crossing Road at Riverside Drive.
Witnesses claimed to have seen Teresa Gonzales fall through a maintenance site and into a sewer line when she was out for a stroll.
“It was deep,” Shamieh added, “if it’s as deep as we’re assuming.”
Three days later, her body was found in the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant in southeast Dallas, which is nearly nine miles distant.
Gonzales added that any family shouldn’t have to deal with the news that their mother fell and is now nine and a half miles away from the scene.
The family wants to know how this kind of thing could have happened.
“Unreasonably dangerous conditions at the site are one of the main reasons we believe she fell in,” Shamieh said.
Shamieh stated that foul play is not suspected, but Gonzales’ autopsy is still pending.
According to Dallas police, the case is being looked into as an inexplicable death.
The City of Dallas stated in an email that it was unable to respond at this time.
Gonzales described her mother as having a good heart and being unable to say no to everyone.
According to Cynthia Gonzales, her mother didn’t drive and instead got around by walking or using the bus.
Although the location of Teresa Gonzales’ alleged fall appears different now than it did a few weeks ago, her family will always be affected by the tragedy that occurred there.
According to the woman’s daughter, no one should have to experience that.
