Delevan Man Arrested on County Court Warrant

(WNY News Now) On December 30, 2024, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Delevan man on a warrant.

DELEVAN, NY Melvin C. Franklin, 57, of Delevan, New York, was arrested on the evening of December 30, 2024, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office. On the basis of a bench warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Court, Franklin was taken into custody on Regan Street.

Franklin was taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail after authorities carried out the warrant at around 6:09 p.m. Franklin is still being held pending additional court processes, according to Sheriff Eric A. Butler’s confirmation.

The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
