Terrion Arnold, the great cornerback for the Detroit Lions, had a serious fall, but it didn’t happen on the football field.
The 21-year-old Floridian uploaded a video of himself falling down a set of stairs in his house on his X account on Thursday.
In the footage, Arnold is seen descending the stairs with his phone in hand before tripping and landing on his back. The cornerback’s phone flies out of his hand, and he spends the entire journey on his back until reaching the end and sitting there for a few moment. Then the video stops.
The 21-year-old captioned the video with some laughing and sobbing emojis, saying, “Had a rough morning.”
On X, the video garnered over 33,000 likes and 1.6 million views. Arnold’s tumble was met with laughter from fans in the comment section.
A screenshot of Arnold sitting at the bottom of the stairs, seemingly contemplating what had happened to him, was shared by one commentator.
The user wrote, “bro had enough,” as the screenshot’s caption.
Another commenter added a skull emoji and said, “The way you looked back for your phone as you were sliding down.”
For the benefit of the club, another supporter asked the valued rookie to use his phone more responsibly.
“Major player, please refrain from playin on your phone when you re walking around, we don t ever want to lose you to a missstep,” they said. “Please, Lord, protect our beautifully tuned star DB from his environment. We adore him.
Detroit selected Arnold in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft after he was an All-American defensive back at the University of Alabama. The youngster toldESPNit’s that he decided to wear the number 0 on his jersey because “ain’t nobody like me.”
He started contributing to the Lions right away, helping them compile a franchise-best 15-2 record and secure the No. 1 spot in the NFC—a first for the team. However, Detroit lost to Washington in the divisional round of the playoffs last week, ending that incredible season.
