(WNY News Now) On December 3, 2024, police officers carried out a search warrant at a home in Dunkirk, which led to the arrest of two people following a two-month investigation.
The City of Jamestown Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and Dunkirk Police Department worked together to conduct a search at 310 Lake Shore Dr. W, Room 111, Dunkirk, NY, and find a significant amount of illegal substances. Two people were arrested in the operation, which came after a two-month investigation into drug-related activity: Russell C. Genevese, 35, and Vanessa R. Stevens, 34, both of Dunkirk.The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office took the picture.
3.2 grams of crack cocaine, 4.4 grams of fentanyl, 38.36 grams of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, such as scales and packaging items commonly used for trafficking, were found during the search. Investigators also retrieved $141 in cash. Consequently, Stevens and Genevese were each charged with one count of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree and three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree.
They were both taken to Dunkirk City Court to be arraigned. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
