(WNY News Now) After a traffic check in the Town of Pomfret, a Dunkirk man was detained early Sunday morning on many offenses, including driving under the influence.
At around 2:21 a.m. on February 2, deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 60, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. It was discovered that the driver, Julian C. Martin, 21, of Dunkirk, was operating the vehicle while drunk.
Martin was charged with DWI per se, DWI, and speeding in the zone after an investigation.He was placed under arrest and will later appear in Pomfret Town Court to respond to the accusations. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
