Ellicott Man Arrested for Domestic Dispute and Violating Protection Order

(WNY News Now) The Town of Ellicott Police were called to a domestic altercation at the Quality Inn in Falconer, New York, on November 28, 2024, at around 10:05 p.m. Matthew J. Sedlmayer, 25, of Falconer, was arrested as a consequence of the incident and charged with second-degree harassment, second-degree criminal contempt, and aggravated family offense.

According to authorities, Sedlmayer was arrested because he broke an active order of protection during the altercation. Sedlmayer was arrested on the spot by the Town of Ellicott Police and taken to the Ellicott Police Department for further processing.

Sedlmayer will answer to the allegations when he appears in Town of Ellicott Court today. The accused is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, just like everyone else who is accused of a crime.
