(WNY News Now) – Police in the Town of Ellicott responded to a domestic disturbance involving alleged harassment, child endangerment, and an attempted escape from custody.
On the evening of November 6, Ellicott Police officers were called to a residence in the Town of Ellicott following reports of a domestic dispute. Michele M. Frantz, 41, was charged with two counts of second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child, and resisting arrest.
According to police reports, Frantz allegedly slapped and shoved individuals within the residence while children were present. When officers attempted to take her into custody, Frantz reportedly attempted to flee the scene. Officers detained her and transported her to Chautauqua County Jail, where she awaited centralized arraignment.
Frantz is expected to appear in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date to address the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
